When Valleria Elinor Huang was born I thought the world was over. You always think it will not happen to you; but when it does that’s when you realise how wonderful it can be, knowing that I had been given a chance to look after this very special person.
We knew since I was 24 weeks pregnant. At that time, doctors told us that there was something wrong with the baby, and asked us to terminate. But we refuse to do so. He said it usually ends in miscarriage or stillbirth, but Valleria fought so hard inside.
Valleria has extra chromosomes, the extent of her problems are still unknown. She has some problems with her heart. All we knew was that we loved her desperately. She is a constant reminder of how precious and unpredictable life is.
