It is a frequent cause of spontaneous abortion during the first trimester of pregnancy. Progression to the second trimester and live birth are rare. This disorder is found in individuals with an extra copy or a variation of chromosome 22 in some or all cells of their body. Melanie had the extra chromosome in all the cells in her body. Melanie was very much compatible with life, love and joy.. We held the most beautiful Angel in our arm’s.. I will forever hold my Melanie in my heart until I can hold her in heaven…
