Mason is one year old, and was diagnosed with Septo Optic Dysplasia (SOD). He was born blind, and we were told that he would never be able to see anything at all. He was also born corpus callosum- which means he doesn’t have nerve fibers connecting the two hemispheres of his brain. We were told Mason would not be able to walk, talk, or do anything by himself; they said life was never going to be easy for him.

1 in 150,000 are born with this condition, we where devastated. We didn’t not know anything about this rare condition.

This is Mason today….

He can see, he walks, talk, eats, plays….just like any other child. Never give up hope 💓
