Kaysen was born with Congenital Heart Disease. He had open heart surgery at 2.5 months old. He came out of surgery on ECMO life support. He then suffered constant seizures and they found out he had a large stroke. The damage takes up 2/3 of the right side of his brain. 4 months later he is diagnosed with a new type of epilepsy called infantile spasms. Finally get that under control and his neuro team diagnosed him with cerebral palsy. Kaysen hasn’t been dealt an easy hand, but he smiles thru each and every obstacle that challenges him!
