Our baby Faith had Full Trisomy 13.
Trisomy is a genetic disorder in which a person has three copies of a chromosome instead of two. Resulting in 47 chromosomes. The most common trisomy you hear of is trisomy 21 which is know as Down syndrome. In Faith’s case she had full trisomy 13, this is very rare, there are less than 20,000 cases in the US each year. 💛👼🏼 .
She may have been diagnosed with a terminal condition but we chose to honor her life by spending as much time as she had just loving her. She was a gift from God. She has shown us what love, faith and strength really is. We are so thankful for all she has and continues to show us. Thank you God for our gift of Faith. 💛
