“What began as a simple treatment for her clubfoot, to an unfolding of a more serious diagnosis, thought to impede her ability to ever walk, talk or live a long life.
At five months of age, Chiara underwent an MRI, and since then has been given many labels: Bilateral Perisylvian Polymicrogyria, Microcephely, Global Development Delay and Spastic Quadriparetic Cerebral Palsy. All the labels come down to one thing – brain injury. The medical team attribute the aforementioned diagnosis to a possible stroke Chiara had in-utero.
Chiara has such a strong and determined spirit. Her gorgeous smile and beautiful nature, shines bright wherever she goes.”
